Per diem Registered Nurse in a nursing float pool providing bedside clinical care across units, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, documentation, and patient/family education during 12-hour night shifts. Follows ANA scope and OneCHRISTUS competencies, assists physicians with procedures, monitors patient responses to treatments, and addresses complex psychosocial needs. Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, minimum two years' RN experience, and graduation from accredited nursing program.

Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. Observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.

Responsibilities:
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice.
- Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Louisiana State RN License
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS provider certification required.
- PALS certification required.
