Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California requiring an active CA RN license and strong high-risk OB skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- Provides care to laboring mothers, including high-risk OB cases
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Team provides care for both standard and high-risk laboring patients
- Travelers and local candidates are both accepted at the same pay rate
- Assignment is subject to HR tenure policy limiting employment to two years without a 90-day break
- Must submit required documentation and certifications for consideration
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum one year of recent (within the past 3 years) full-time equivalent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Current BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
- Preferred: Five or more years of recent (within last two years) Labor & Delivery experience
- Preferred: One year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the past two years
- High-risk OB experience is preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth for consideration
