Job Title: Permanent Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to take on a leadership role at a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, opening late 2024. Situated just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, this modern facility is well-equipped to cater to a projected 600 deliveries annually.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care in a Level 1 nursery with an average daily census of about 5 newborns.
- Conduct daily rounds on newborns in-house during the day.
- Attend deliveries as required and take call from home.
- Stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns needing higher-level care to adjacent NICUs.
- Collaborate with a team of 4 NNPs and support from a LEVEL III NICU equipped with 2 Neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Gastonia.
- Opportunity to do supplemental PRN shifts at the LEVEL III NICU, not required for this position.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Minimum of 2+ years employment experience as a NNP (not including RN experience).
- Board Certified NNP (cannot accept FNP, PNP, or any other NP certifications).
- Current NC license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to start.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing - REQUIRED
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP REQUIRED
- North Carolina license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Current 2+ years of employment experience as NNP (not including RN experience) - REQUIRED
- DEA must be obtained prior to start - REQUIRED
