The Steam Ovens Utility Operator is responsible for performing maintenance and preventative upkeep on production machinery within a food manufacturing environment, ensuring food safety and cleanliness. This full-time role requires basic computer and hand tool skills, flexibility in scheduling, and the ability to work independently. The position supports Cargill’s protein and salt business focusing on high-quality food products and involves shift work including weekends.

Principal Accountabilities

Using hand tools to perform maintenance on production machinery
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
Ensuring food safety and quality
Cleanliness and housekeeping
Monday - Sundays if needed 5:30 AM- 5:30PM
12 hours Shift
4 working days, 4 days off, then 3 working days, 4 days off

Required Qualifications

Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Basic Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work with a variety of hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

Perform multiple tasks
Basic math skills with use of a calculator, computer and scan guns
Must be able to work well with others
Must be flexible, schedule wise
Must be willing and able to learn all Jobs in the department
Must be able to adapt to an ever-changing work environment
Will work independently with minimal supervision
