Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a KS or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry capabilities
• Patient population includes general medical and surgical cases
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Floating required to similar units within the Wichita hospital system
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Ceil blue scrubs are required
• May be required to float to like units in associated hospitals as needed
• Local candidates are accepted but subject to a reduced pay rate per radius rules
• COVID vaccination is not required for this assignment
• MOAB De-Escalation Training and NIH Stroke Certification are recommended
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must only apply for one position within the health system at a time

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Nursys verification must be completed within 30 days of assignment start
• Must have or provide a US Social Security Number and valid US home address
