Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse will provide direct care to high-risk antepartum and postpartum women with medically or obstetrically complicated pregnancies. The RN will collaborate with physicians, nurse midwives, and social workers to deliver the highest quality of care to this high-risk patient population.
Responsibilities- Care for high-risk moms, postpartum patients, and those in pre-labor and GYN situations.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
- Float among units as needed to meet the variable needs of volume and acuity.
- Participate in orientation and training across various competencies and modes of care throughout the OB service.
- Current RN License in New York
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience required; OB experience preferred but not necessary
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification required
- Telemetry experience required
