Title: Physical Therapist – Outpatient
Location: Rio Rico, AZ
Duration:13-week contract
Shift: Day shift, 5x8s (08:00 – 16:30)
Evaluate and treat physical therapy patients based on physician referral or direct access
Develop, implement, and supervise plans of care for patients
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and PT technicians according to PT plan of care
Evaluate and treat injured workers; apply ACOMP systems for return-to-work plans
Utilize facility modalities and exercise equipment
Perform post-offer testing (e.g., WorkSTEPS, APET)
Conduct Work Hardening Evaluations and Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs)
Perform ergonomic evaluations and job analyses
Oversee clinic organizational and cleaning tasks, directing PT technicians
Manage patient scheduling, referrals, and phone communications
Apply billing codes accurately for various payer types
Update rehab nurses weekly regarding patient progress
Maintain communication with referring physicians through timely evaluation and progress notes
Ensure all state licensure requirements are current and in good standing
Maintain professional conduct with patients, providers, case managers, insurers, and industry contacts
Assist in marketing, business development, and educational programs
Participate in community outreach representing the organization
Perform additional tasks as needed for clinic operations
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience
Active state Physical Therapy license in good standing
BLS certification
Experience with charting systems
