Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro night position requiring an OK or compact license and at least 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 24-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit in a hospital environment
- Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
- Patient ratios are 1:5-6
- Must work some weekend shifts as part of schedule
- Floating within scope to similar units as needed
- No on-call requirement
- Block scheduling is determined on a case by case basis
- Uses Epic documentation system (Epic experience preferred)
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Must wear navy scrubs while on duty
- No travel pairs or groups will be considered
- RTO must be approved by management, with a maximum of 3 days auto-approved and no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
- Brief unit orientation will be provided and required modules must be completed onsite during orientation
Requirements
- Active OK or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Neuro experience
- Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- Must not have been a permanent staff member within the past year
- Only candidates living more than 75 miles from the facility are eligible for consideration
