Position Overview:

• Location: Near Palmer, AK
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call
• EMR System: Epic

Practice Details:

• Practice Setting: The role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, ensuring a diverse and fulfilling experience.
• Shifts and Coverage:
  • Clinic Coverage: Two weeks per month of clinic coverage.
  • Call Coverage:
    • Onsite: 4 weeks per month of hospital call coverage with night call during the week and 24-hour weekend call.
    • Virtual: For the other two weeks, 24-hour virtual call coverage.
• Patient Load: Average of 12 patients per shift.
• Holidays: Coverage required for major holidays, including New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Pediatric Neurology.
• Certifications: BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Privileges: Hospital and surgery center privileges required; however, temporary privileges are not available.
• Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated at 90-145 days.
• Licensing: No reimbursement for licensing costs.
