Responsibilities:
- Provide cardiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform evaluations and management services, including interpretation of EKG, Echocardiography, Cardiac Nuclear Imaging, stress Echocardiography, and Holter/event monitor.
- Review and sign individual treatment plans for cardiac rehab patients.
- Perform and interpret Cardioversion and Trans-Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
- Collaborate with other medical specialties to meet established standards and practices of care.
- Examine, diagnose, and provide treatments for a broad range of cardiac diseases.
- Use appropriate risk calculators and stay updated with new studies, technology, and medications.
- Administer prescribed medications in compliance with state laws and practice guidelines.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and health prevention.
- Maintain patient records, charts, and other pertinent information, documenting clearly and concisely.
- Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultations as needed.
- Participate in physician meetings and assist in policy formation.
- Keep all licenses and certifications current and unrestricted.
Call Schedule:
- Shared Echo call rotation, including reading on weekends.
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required
- State License: Active Oregon license required
- Certification: BLS required
