Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neurosciences Med/Surg Tele position with BLS, NIHSS, and MA RN license requirements.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a 37-bed acute neuroscience department
- Patient population includes stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, seizures, brain and spinal surgeries, and multiple sclerosis
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
- Works night shifts (12 hours per shift)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Department emphasizes teamwork and a positive workplace culture
- Holiday coverage expectations are not specified
- Orientation and training details will be communicated upon assignment
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- At least 2 years of recent relevant nursing experience preferred
- NIHSS certification must be renewed yearly within this department
