Job Opportunity: Medical Director - Pediatric Hospitalist

Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Medical Director for the pediatric hospitalist practice.
- Provide coverage for high-risk deliveries.
- Conduct emergency room consults involving pediatric patients.
- Manage pediatric admissions of low acuity cases.
- Provide well newborn care at the hospital.
- Collaborate with the affiliated Level-III NICU at Good Samaritan Hospital for newborns requiring intensive care.
- Work a full-time schedule consisting of twelve 24-hour shifts per month with on-call responsibilities from home.
- Support a hospital with approximately 500 deliveries annually.
- Engage in a collaborative environment with commuters welcome to apply.
- This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
Qualifications:
- Current Board Certification in Pediatrics (BC Pediatrician) is required.
- Current inpatient hospital experience.
- Clean malpractice and license history is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Must live in the area or be willing to relocate.
- DEA must be obtained prior to start.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified (BC) Pediatrician.
- California Medical License or willingness to obtain.
- Current inpatient hospital experience.
