ICU RN Job Details- Location: Fishers, Indiana (Zip: 46037) – Indianapolis metro area

- Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with required floating to Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)

- Minimum 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience (strong PCU RNs considered)
- Active Registered Nurse license (IN, compact, or IN temp license required; pending license accepted with commitment to obtain)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to float to PCU and manage higher patient ratios
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two supervisor references required
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Local candidates not accepted for ICU, PCU, ER, MS, or MS Tele positions
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill adult patients in ICU and PCU
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, 12-lead EKG/ECG, and arterial lines
- Care for post-cardiac surgery and cardiac cath/intervention patients, including sheath removal
- Manage chronic and acute renal failure, ports, central lines, PICC lines, and ventilated patients
- Administer blood products, IV insulin protocols, continuous IV paralytics, and sedation
- Respond to emergencies, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage acute stroke/CVA
- Assist with BiPAP, CPAP, chest tube insertion/removal, and high-flow nasal cannula
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), perform suctioning, and manage wound vacs
- Maintain infection prevention, isolation precautions, and proper PPE usage
- Float to PCU and adapt to higher patient ratios as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, pharmacy, and IV teams
