A board-certified Gastroenterologist is sought for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Wisconsin, working primarily day shifts with a mix of clinic and procedure days. We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist for a 90-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Wisconsin, starting Mar 19, 2026. This position offers a day shift schedule, 8am-5pm, with flexibility for week on/week off coverage and a mix of clinic and procedure days. Job Details Location: Wisconsin Start Date: Mar 19, 2026 LOA: 90 days Provider Type Needed: Gastroenterologist Schedule: 8am-5pm day shift; open to week on/week off; preferred 1 clinic day and 4 procedure days (flexible) Responsibilities and Duties Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices Conduct PEG placement, esophageal dilatation, manometry, and interpretation Perform small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy Complete colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyps Conduct liver biopsy and insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube Participate in clinic visits and scheduled procedures only (no ERCP or EUS required) Manage an average inpatient census of 28-30 MSP and 3-4 ICU/IMCU patients Utilize three new endoscopy suites with skilled endo teams Work with anesthesia support for conscious sedation on certain days Complete Day 1 orientation with EPIC support Additional Information Must hold a valid Wisconsin medical license Board certification in Gastroenterology required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Experience with inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology procedures strongly preferred Six ICU beds and eight IMCU beds available at the facility Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
