Critical Care Float Pool Nurse
LocationNew York, NY
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Job DescriptionThe Critical Care Float Pool Nurse will provide essential care to patients across various critical care units within the hospital. This role demands flexibility as the nurse will be required to float to different units, excluding Psych and Emergency Department, unless managing holds. Nurses will be responsible for a nursing assignment that may involve caring for 6-7 patients.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to critical care patients.
- Float to assigned units as needed and adapt to different patient populations and care requirements.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Utilize specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT, and ICP monitoring.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of submission.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required.
- NURSYS report for license verification must be provided.
