Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other GI procedures. Prescribe medications and provide ongoing medical management for patients with chronic digestive conditions. Perform admissions for inpatients with gastrointestinal issues and manage their care throughout their hospital stay. Collaborate effectively with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Participate in hospital rounds and provide care for assigned patients on the inpatient unit. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic electronic medical record system. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Wisconsin (WI) medical license or eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) privileges. Board-certified in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Gastroenterology is mandatory. Experience in a hospital setting managing adult patients with gastrointestinal disorders is preferred.
