The InSite Foreperson (Shift Lead) at Clean Harbors is responsible for supervising field personnel, coordinating equipment and manpower, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. This role requires maintaining health and safety standards, overseeing training and mentoring of technicians, and effective communication with customers. The position demands physical capability, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to manage emergency response situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner
- Complete all project required paperwork.
- Coordinate manpower and equipment requirements to complete field tasks for scheduling future projects.
- Responsible for the inspection, proper use, and maintenance of all site project equipment.
- Interact with customer in a professional and effective manner to keep them apprised of the status of projects and/or to resolve any problems.
- Responsible for the Health and Safety oversight of each task or project that they are assigned. This includes: Site safety meetings, review of standard operating procedures, and communication with H&S organization as necessary.
- Responsible for the site supervision of InSite Technicians that are assigned to their tasks or projects.
- Responsible for the ongoing training and mentoring of InSite Technicians. Will provide performance evaluation input to the Program Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a physically intensive role
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time, overnight
- Ability to be on-call for emergency response
- Valid Driver’s license
- Perform physical functions per job requirements
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
- Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
- Previous heavy equipment experience (bobcats, excavators, etc)
- Previous environmental and/or industrial experience (ie. site remediation, spill response, hydro blasting, vacuum truck, tank cleaning, refinery-based work)
- Commercial driver license
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
