American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding position in Ohio, requiring an active OH or compact RN license and strong critical care skills.
Responsibilities- Work in the ER Holding unit caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Typical patient ratios are 1:4
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:30
- Care involves telemetry and dysrhythmia management, PCU/Stepdown level care, and management of complex cases including cardiac and renal failure
- Utilizes Epic for documentation
- Responsibilities include tracheostomy care, rapid response team utilization, wound care including wound vacs, non-invasive airway management, and IV insulin/heparin protocols
- Must be prepared to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
- Former employees may apply if they have been away from any Ohio State University hospital for at least 6 months
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Time-off requests must be submitted with your application
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, and vasoactive drip titration
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a managerial or supervisory role
- Experience with Epic EMR required
