Job Details:
• Two (2) years current experience required in large Emergency Department
• Must successfully complete at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test during first week of assignment
• Candidates have one opportunity to re-test if they fail; second failure results in contract cancellation
• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles required
• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
• Epic experience preferred but not required; can train on-site
• Utilize nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned group of patients
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patient/family and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout episode of care
• Assume responsibility for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Required education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
