Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region, including those experiencing respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.

Responsibilities

• Competent care for medical and surgical patient populations.
• Utilize advanced hemodynamics and manage pressor usage per titration protocols.
• Administer antihypertensive, sedative, narcotic, and thrombo-embolic drips.
• Support procedures involving A-lines, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, and infection prevention protocols.
• Manage high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPAP/CPAP, and oxypendent therapy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• ACLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience in large scale adult PCU and community hospital ICU preferred.
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission.
