American Traveler is seeking an RN for an inpatient rehab position, requiring a NY RN license and at least one year of acute rehab experience.
Responsibilities- Work in an inpatient rehab unit with a focus on patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00
- Every other weekend coverage is required
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:12 on nights
- Must be willing to float to med-surg units
- Use of Hoyer Lift and sit-to-stand lift equipment
- Epic EMR system is preferred but not required
- No local candidates within a 75-mile radius will be considered
- Primary responsibilities include providing nursing care to adults with neurological and spinal injuries in a rehab setting
- Block scheduling requests may be considered, but not guaranteed
- Requesting more than 1 week of time off during the contract is not permitted
- Maximum of 3 call-off shifts permitted per 13-week assignment
- Active NY RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Minimum of 1 year acute rehab nursing experience required
- Experience with CVA (cerebrovascular accident) patient care
- First-time travelers are accepted
