The Orthopedics Physician position is a full-time role requiring a residency-trained, board-certified surgeon to provide comprehensive orthopedic care including surgeries, patient consults, and call coverage across Eastern Oregon and Idaho. The role is based in Baker City, Oregon, within a busy, multi-specialty health system offering extensive medical support and benefits. The physician will engage in practice development while serving a community with rich outdoor and cultural amenities.

Status: Full Time

Schedule: Typical clinic schedule M-F includes a minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week, plus procedures, rounding and consults.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a residency-trained orthopedic surgeon to join a busy surgical practice which spans Nampa to Baker City. This position requires a proactive approach to practice development for the population of Eastern Oregon. This growing practice group provides a full range of general orthopedic services. From total joint replacement to helping athletes recover from injury and return to sport, the focus is always on the patient. Requires Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to support the health system's regional surgical needs and programs across all our communities served.

Support: 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia; general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, urology and endoscopy; Hospital-based imaging services: 24/7 radiology department; in-house coverage for general radiology and CT; after hours call coverage for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine (NM); MRI; Breast Care Center; X-ray (CR and DR image capture); ED; Saint Alphonsus network of Specialty and Primary Care clinics. Level 2 Trauma Hospital in Boise, ID.

Requirements:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
Successful completion of ACGME or CanERA accredited orthopedic residency program.
Board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS) - or obtain within 3 years.
Obtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SABCH and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed;
Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
Willingness to take general orthopedic call.
