- Schedule: Monday - Friday, roughly 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Rounds in the morning
- Rotational responsibility for managing hospital calls/consults every third day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
- Job Description:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (with plans to test) in Psychiatry
- Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up preferred
- Inpatient Psych (adult unit and adolescent unit), Hospital Consults, ER Consults (Not open to telehealth)
- Average Patients Per Day: 5-12
- Total Beds: 18 adults, 5 adolescents
- Psychiatrists in Group: 1 part-time inpatient
- Advanced Practice Providers: 2
- Psychologists: None (inpatient)
- EMR: Cerner
- Trauma Level/Designation: III
- Referral/Transfer Protocol: University of Iowa, 40 minutes by car
- Safety/Security Measures: Security on each campus
- Required Treatment Disorders: Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders
- Familiarity with: Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion therapy, Voluntary Commitments, ER
- Not accepting visa candidates
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
