Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position requiring a MI RN license and comfort with both ICU and Med Surg ratios.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting, floating between critical care and medical-surgical units
• Float assignments include ICU units (TCU, CSU, MICU, NCCU) and Med Surg units as needed
• ICU patient ratios are 2-3:1; Med Surg patient ratios are 4-6:1
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week, from 7:00 to 19:30
• Every other weekend is required
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Must be available for the first two weeks for orientation
• Must be comfortable floating between various critical care and Med Surg units based on staffing needs
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Only one holiday request is allowed per assignment, covering either the holiday or the day/evening before or after, but not both

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BCLS (AHA) certifications required
• Ability to manage both ICU and Med Surg patient ratios
