Job Details:
• Coverage needed starting mid-December 2025 until permanent physician placement is found• Inpatient gastroenterology services with approximately 4-12 patients per day• Call structure is approximately 1:4 rotation (Friday 4pm-Friday 4pm)• Responsibilities include floor/ED/ICU consultations and emergent endoscopies when needed• Carry beeper overnight during call shifts• Join a team of 4 physicians in the gastroenterology group• Required procedures include esophageal dilatation/manometry, esophageal manometry interpretation, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy• Proficiency in various types of upper GI endoscopy including diagnostic, therapeutic, with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, banding of varices, and PEG• EUS/ERCP skills are NOT required (though ERCP certification is nice to have)• No outpatient expectations• Must have active Massachusetts medical license• BLS certification required• Board certification preferred
Compensation:
