A well-established civil engineering firm is seeking a Senior Transportation Design Engineer to support and lead a variety of transportation infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on design work, collaborating with a close-knit team, and stepping into projects with minimal ramp-up time.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading transportation design tasks and supporting junior engineering staff
  • Producing preliminary and final engineering deliverables
  • Working on roadway rehabilitation and reconstruction, intersections, traffic signals, roundabouts, drainage, and multi-use paths
  • Applying INDOT, LPA, and AASHTO standards across active projects
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality results

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 4–8 years of transportation engineering experience
  • Strong working knowledge of INDOT standards and procedures
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Ability to step into projects quickly with minimal training

Nice to Have

  • Traffic signal or roundabout design experience
  • Drainage design or utility coordination experience
  • Curb ramp, sidewalk, or multi-use path design experience
