This role involves providing inpatient psychiatric care to children and adolescents in a state-of-the-art hospital setting in Kansas with a focus on patient assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. The position is full-time, primarily daytime hours with occasional on-call duties, and requires at least one year of post-residency experience or board eligibility. The facility supports professional growth and offers a supportive work environment with advanced medical leadership and EHR systems.

SPECIALTY: PSYCHIATRY - CHILD/ADULT INPATIENT

LOCATION: KANSAS -Kansas City area and Wichita

DESCRIPTION:

FT Inpatient 40 hrs per week (M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), NO Telehealth
New hospital settings with a start of the art facility not seen anywhere else in Kansas
Census at 16-20 average of operation and asked for 20 patient rounding daily
Staffing assistance with a NP who will assist with the 20 patient overflow
Direct hire staff has been with the group for 15 + years and growing
Start Date: ASAP and open to 2025 start date further out - Ongoing need.
call: 1-2 times per month rotation
Work and visit the best city to commute in with lower cost of living than most US cities.
Brand new Kansas City airport with ease of travel to and from assignment
Wichita location has even less traffic than Kansas City and both wonderful cost of living

Setting:

Round in a inpatient hospital setting that is brand new and state of the art with a collaborative team; best medical directors to learn from and could have leadership growth
Document patient progress and treatment plans per accrediting standards. Work with a joint commission medical director.
Assess medical and psychiatric changes, including lab results.
Review and update medication and treatment orders regularly.
Complete both new intakes and discharges.
Participate in meetings and treatment team discussions with a compassionate team and great medical director leadership.

REQUIRED:

KS license, active and unrestricted or willing to obtain
At least 1 yr post residency experience or will consider new graduates that are truly board eligible.

Regular supervision and peer review of work.
