2nd Shift - Seasonal Summer Security Officer - Full Time- HIRING ASAP

  • Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
  • Job Type: Seasonal (Summer) - Full Time
  • Job Length - This is a temporary position starting immediately, with an expected duration until August 2026.
  • Hours and Days: 
  • 2nd Shift
  • Monday Through Friday
  • 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
  • Job Description: Per Mar Security Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Summer Security Officer to support a client site undergoing building renovations. This role will primarily focus on fire watch duties, ensuring the safety of the premises during construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hourly patrols (rounds) throughout designated areas of the building
  • Monitor for potential fire hazards, safety risks, or large leaks
  • Maintain a strong awareness of surroundings and report any concerns immediately
  • Accurately document patrols and incidents in written reports
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and site protocols

  • Ability to walk frequently and remain active throughout the shift
  • Dependable, responsible, and accountable
  • Punctual with a strong commitment to attendance and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Preferred Qualities:

  • Prior security or patrol experience (not required but a plus)
  • Professional and responsible demeanor
  • Pass background check
  • Must pass on-site drug test at time of hire
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to be professional in all settings, maintain open communication with the Operations Manager, and be able to learn quickly
  • Must be able to obtain a DSPS Private Security Person license
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
  • Must not have any felonies per DSPS Licensing requirements
