We are seeking a BoardCertified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenensopportunity in Fredericksburg, Texas. This assignment offers 12-hour shiftcoverage with both day and night shifts available. Position Details:
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Coverage: 24-hour coverage (AM and PM shifts)
- Assignment Type: Ongoing locums, considered prn or "as needed"- no finite contract end date.
- Patient Population: All ages- Rural setting
- Annual ED Volume: 10k- 12k
- EMR System: Meditech
Travel: Alltravel expenses reimbursed 100% on top of rate (flights, hotel, mileage orrental+ fuel, parking, tolls)
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of acute conditions
- Work collaboratively with nurses, APPs, and support staff
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM preferred; will consider FM/IM with EM experience in rural settings)
- Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Current DEA
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Emergency Medicine experience required
