This is a combined posting for an Medical Assistant, Associate Medical Assistant and Senior Medical Assistant . The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
The MA I works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An MA I is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
The MA III works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA III is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles. Additionally, the MA III proactively takes initiative and serves as an informal leader with additional responsibilities related to clinic/location. MA III serves as an ambassador, change agent, quality champion, and mentor/resource to Medical Assistants by providing support, guidance, and training as needed.

Medical Assistant
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or
- Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or
- Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- 6 months Healthcare experience.
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification.
Medical Assistant Salary Range: Min:18.73$, Max: $28.66

Associate Medical Assistant
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
- Coursework/Training and Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or
- Coursework/Training and minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration Or
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
Preferred qualifications:
- Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
- 6 months of prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment.
- 6 months of previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).
Associate Medical AssistantSalary Range: Min:17.18$, Max: $25.75
Senior Medical Assistant
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
- Coursework/Training and has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 2 years of Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
- 2 years of experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
- 6 months of working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years.
Preferred qualifications:
- Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
Senior Medical Assistant Salary Range: Min:21.09$, Max: $32.27
