American Traveler is seeking a BSN-prepared RN for an Inpatient Rehab assignment requiring a MO or compact RN license, BLS certification, and night shift availability.
Responsibilities- Work in an inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
- Typical patient ratio is 1:5 during the day and 1:5-6 on night shifts
- Patient population includes post-surgical, post-stroke, CHF, and patients needing prolonged physical, speech, or occupational therapy
- Occasional duties include IV management and lab draws, but this is a non-telemetry unit
- Collaborative, team-based care with physical therapy and care management teams
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
- Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience is preferred
- Local candidates within a 50 mile radius accepted at a lower rate
- Nurses will participate in discharge planning from admission with interdisciplinary teams
- First-time travelers are accepted if meeting the 2-year experience requirement
- RTO (requested time off) must be declared for consideration
- Returning staff must have a one-year break before returning as a traveler
- Four hours of mandatory modules completed during orientation
- No telemetry responsibilities required on this unit
- Free parking is available on site
- Active MO or compact RN license required; pending license accepted if in hand before start
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience; first-time travelers require 2 years of RN experience
- Must pass Basic EKG exam with a score of 80% or higher (up to 2 attempts allowed)
- Epic charting experience preferred
