ICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Location

This position is located in West Virginia.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This role requires a Night shift, working 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekdays and every other weekend.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and management for ICU patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor patients' conditions and gather vital signs.
• Engage in conscious sedation and other necessary interventions.
• Manage ventilated patients and perform telemetry monitoring.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Assist with procedural sedation administration and monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an ICU setting.
• Current RN license in West Virginia or a compact license.
• Certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with conscious sedation, telemetry, and ventilators.
• Preferred experience in charge nursing roles.
