Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit night shift position requiring telemetry experience and advanced certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
- Every other weekend coverage required, totaling six weekends per contract
- Floating required within RN skillset
- Locals within 60 miles eligible for consideration
- Provide nursing care and monitoring for patients on telemetry
- Must be able to float to other units within the telemetry skillset as needed
- Weekend and holiday coverage required per contract terms
- Candidates will undergo EKG rhythm interpretation testing as part of onboarding
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- First time travelers are accepted for this position
