The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia care in an inpatient setting, working under MD supervision in a team care model primarily serving adult patients. Responsibilities include administering general, endoscopy, and regional anesthesia with coverage in a Level III trauma facility. The role requires ACLS and NBCRNA certifications and involves varying shift lengths with on-site call duties as needed.
Start Date: 01/05/2026 (ASAP start preferred)
Contract Length: Long-term or until permanent hire secured
Schedule: 8-, 10-, 12-, and 24-hour shifts available
Call required: Yes variable, dependent on ER cases (on-site for 24-hour OB and OR coverage as needed)
Setting: Inpatient
Supervision Model: Team care model MDs typically supervise up to 3 CRNAs
Patient Population: Adult (no Pediatrics, ENT, or Neuro may be added in future)
Procedures: General, Endoscopy, Regional blocks, Lines
Excluded Cases: ENT, Pediatrics, Neuro, CV, OB cases (except 24-hr coverage as needed)
Trauma Level: Level III Adult
Number of ORs: 15 depending on the day
EMR: Hospital Sunrise (Altera); Anesthesia MedAxion
Certifications: ACLS, NBCRNA (or ABA minimum)
Experience: Comfortable with regional anesthesia and line placement
Orientation: Provided on first day (option for prior if available)
Culture: Collegial, team-oriented environment with strong collaboration between MDs and CRNAs
Support Staff: Anesthesia nurses and techs in the OR
