A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) providing hospital-based anesthesia care in Southern Colorado with flexible scheduling and no on-call duties. Responsibilities include managing general anesthesia and high-acuity cases such as vascular, orthopedic, and gastrointestinal surgeries within a collaborative team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs. The role requires NBCRNA certification, active Colorado licensure, EPIC EMR experience, and adherence to hospital credentialing and vaccination policies.
ATC West Healthcare Services is urgently seeking experienced CRNAs for locum tenens coverage starting as soon as credentialing is complete (April/May 2025) in Southern Colorado. This hospital-based opportunity offers flexible scheduling with no call, in a collaborative, team-based anesthesia model. Ideal candidates are comfortable with general anesthesia and interested in high-acuity cases, including vascular, orthopedic, and GI.
Dates/ScheduleStart Date: ASAP (upon credentialing targeting April/May 2025)
Schedule Options:
Monday Friday: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s (flexible scheduling)
Weekends-only shifts also accepted
GI-specific schedule: Mon Thurs (4x10s)
Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed unless time off is requested
Call/Holidays: No call; holidays off
Part-Time: Accepted (Full-Time preferred)
Setting: Hospital-based (including satellite locations across the street)
Team Model: 11 Anesthesiologists & 28 CRNAs; supervision ratio typically 1:2 or 1:3
Surgical Volume: 25 cases/day across 10 ORs
Case Mix:
80% General
10% Complex Vascular
10% Complex Orthopedic
Preferred (but not required):
Peds experience
GI experience
Spinal anesthesia
Neurosurgical/spine, vascular (excluding open heart), and complex ortho cases
Equipment: GE Carestation 650s
EMR: EPIC
Orientation Schedule:
Monday: Tour & badge
Tuesday: Full-day Epic training
Wednesday Friday: Shadowing
Must be fully credentialed before orientation
Certifications:
NBCRNA Required (no new grads)
BLS Required
Licensure:
Active Colorado CRNA License Required
Experience:
Prior EPIC experience Required (include number of years and last date used)
