American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 18 months of surgical nursing experience and an active GA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Position is based in a hospital surgical department
- Role is for the Operating Room (OR) unit
- Day shift with 12-hour shifts
- No on-call responsibilities
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Primary duties involve direct patient care and circulating or scrubbing in the operating room
- Return to work rules apply for former employees of the health system
- Holiday time off requests are restricted: maximum of 5 days off if not during holidays, and a maximum of 3 days if around holidays
- Only one holiday time-off request is allowed per assignment
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 18 months of recent OR nursing experience
- CVOR RNs must have at least 18 months of full-time recent CVOR experience within the last 3 years
- Strong cardiac and vascular procedure experience, including endovascular cases, required for CVOR RNs
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
- Former staff must have a minimum break of 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
