Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide emergency medicine care in a critical access hospital
- Manage inpatient swing beds and inpatient psychiatric beds
- Oversee patient care in a 7-bed emergency department
- Perform all critical lifesaving procedures, including intubation, ventilator management, and line placement
- Collaborate with on-site and telehealth specialist coverage (Pediatrics, Lab, Diagnostic Radiology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Urology, General Surgery)
- Deliver care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients
- Participate in clinic and hospital-based patient management as needed
Additional Information
- Active Alabama medical license required
- Rural emergency medicine and trauma experience preferred
- Commitment to a minimum 3-month contract; ongoing need
