The Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic exams and invasive procedures, providing patient care across all age groups. The role requires knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology, effective communication with medical staff, and adherence to established clinical standards. Candidates must hold an accredited sonography certification, have at least two years of experience, and relevant ARDMS registration and BLS certification.
Shift: Mon to Thurs 730am to 6pm
Responsibilities:RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital based training program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of experience required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
ARDMS registered in at least 2 specialties.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
Registered ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) is preferred.
