Job Description
A Sacramento, California based client is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner in family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics to provide excellent primary care services to patients of all ages. This position will float to cover schedules and be telehealth for the remainder of the work week. An ideal candidate is a leader who works well in a collaborative environment, values evidence-based practice, and practices patient centered care. This candidate must be comfortable evaluating and treating all ages. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
- Current California medical license
- Completed an accredited residency program
- Current DEA certificate
- Board certified in primary care
- Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages
- Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
- Perform therapeutic procedures and educate patients on their treatment plans
- Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
- Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
