Job Description:
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D RN)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to women throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The L&D RN plays a vital role in ensuring safe childbirth experiences while delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and assist during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Perform obstetric triage, fetal monitoring, and non-stress tests (NSTs)
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognizing and responding to complications promptly
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and pain management interventions per protocol
- Serve as support nurse during deliveries and assist with emergency situations
- Educate patients and families on labor progression, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum experience in Labor & Delivery required
- Labor-trained with demonstrated competency in fetal monitoring
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or above)
