RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Position eligible for 48 guaranteed hours
• Work in 20-bed private room Surgical Specialty Unit
• Patient ratios: 4:1 total patient care, 5:1 with patient care tech support
• Required scheduling: every 3rd weekend, two Mondays and Fridays per 4-week scheduling period
• Float to like medical/surgical/telemetry units including ortho neuro center, med/tele, 4N, CDU
• High-paced unit environment
• Med-surg experience required with understanding of post-operative care
• Perform ostomy management, NGT placement and management, Foley catheter placement, central line management, JP drains, wound management, IV starts, blood administration
• Manage nutritional supplementation including TPN and G/J tubes
• Work with Alaris IV Pumps, CADD epidural, Alaris PCA, Pyxis Medication Dispensing Machine, telemetry, EKG, bladder scanner, wound vacs, capnostream machines, SCD Pumps
• Use Medi tech documentation system
• BLS certification required
• Dress code: Royal Blue tops and Black or Royal Blue bottoms
