Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night position requiring cardiac and neuro experience, along with an active SC or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Serve in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at an acute care hospital
- Work night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7p-7a, with alternating weekend and holiday rotation
- Patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 patients
- Floating may be required within scope and like units as needed
- Epic charting system is used
- Royal blue scrubs are required
- Provide specialized care to patients with complex cardiac and neurological conditions
- All requested time off (RTO) must be declared with submission and is subject to approval
- Completion of online modules prior to start is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Free parking is available
- Potential emergency response assignments during hurricane season (June-November)
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand before start
- Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum of 1 year recent CVICU experience required, with 2 years preferred
- Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required
- No previous permanent or PRN employment within the health system in the past year
- Not open to first-time travelers
- Candidates must not reside within 60 miles of the facility
