- Healthcare Setting: Mattei Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (14 beds, average census 11)
- Start Date: August 25, 2025
- End Date: November 22, 2025
- Contract Length: 13-week contract
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715), Thursday, Friday, Saturday
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910

- Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or CTICU experience at a similar level
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Clinical experience with high-acuity cardiac surgery patients and advanced cardiac devices (ECMO, Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD)
- Ability to present on patients once per shift (1500 and 2030)
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Deliver expert nursing care to post-cardiac surgery patients, including those with ECMO, Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD devices
- Manage a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a high-acuity CVICU environment
- Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, intensivists, and hospitalists
- Participate in patient presentations and interdisciplinary rounds
- Float to other adult critical care units as needed
- Maintain proactive, team-oriented care and uphold the unit’s culture of excellence
