Position Highlights
• Experience Required: 2+ years IR experience (no first-time travelers)
• Certifications: BLS required | ACLS preferred | ARRT preferred
• Travel Experience: Required
• Charting: Epic (preferred)
• Environment: Interventional Radiology | 5 procedure rooms
• ⚙ Core Responsibilities:
- Scrub & circulate maintaining sterile field
- Prep access sites and set up IR equipment
- Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
- Assist with complex IR procedures
• Procedures Include:
- Angiography (renal, mesenteric, pelvic, carotid)
- Embolization (including uterine & neuro)
- Chemoembolization & radioembolization
- TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- Central lines, ports, IVC filters (placement & removal)
- Biopsies, nephrostomy, biliary drainage, paracentesis, thoracentesis
• Call Requirements:
- Weekday call (5:30 PM - 6:30 AM) ~4 days/month
- Weekend call (approx. every 6th weekend)
• Vaccines:
- COVID-19: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Flu: Required (no exemptions)
• ⚠ Important Note:
This facility utilizes an Emergency Team model-traveler may be required to remain onsite during emergency events per unit leadership direction.
