Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Board-Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist for a prime holiday assignment, with continued dates expected throughout 2026. This is a combined inpatient + procedural role with beeper call coverage.

Additional ongoing dates are anticipated throughout 2026
Setting: Inpatient + hospital-based procedures (no clinic)
Procedures Required:
Upper GI endoscopy (including biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeder fulguration, variceal injection)
ERCP
PEG placement
Small bowel biopsy
Flexible/rigid sigmoidoscopy
Colonoscopy (including biopsy)
Polypectomy
Daily Schedule: Mon Fri procedural block 8a 12p (5 10 cases/day) with Inpatient call following
Call Details: Beeper call; 5 phone consults/24 hrs; 30-minute response time
Patient Volume: per shift
Admissions: 2 10/day
EMR: Cerner
Trauma Level: III
Support Staff: RN staff; no APP supervision required
Active AZ medical license & DEA
Board Certified or Board Eligible in GI
ACLS & BLS- we can help with Life Support Certification if needed
Clean background
Hospital privileges required Temp privileges can be granted within 48 hours
