Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Weekend coverage required based on operational needs
• 2 years minimum IMC experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience required with chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, non-titratable drips, IV infusions
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, general surgery
• Must wear Caribbean blue scrubs (not provided by facility)
• Skills include central line care/management, chest tubes, CVA care, external CPAP/BIPAP, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Work with bedside monitoring equipment for up to 8 patients, ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, lift equipment
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Unit has 15 beds with daily census of 15 adult patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other services
