Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 3 NICU position in New York requiring a NY RN license and advanced neonatal certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a Level 3 NICU within a 349-bed acute care teaching hospital
- Variable day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including every other weekend
- Care for critically ill neonates in a specialized NICU environment
- Cerner EMR is used; Cerner competence is preferred
- Provide critical care and monitoring to a neonatal patient population, including advanced neonatal procedures
- Team-based care with support in a teaching hospital environment
- Completion of required online learning modules prior to the start date is mandatory
- Local candidates are eligible with a reduced rate if living within 60 miles
- Candidates with prior employment at the health system may require an eligibility review process
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Level 3 NICU experience
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Advanced NRP
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Two recent professional references from a manager or higher in the specialty required
