PCU RN Job Details

• Location: Savannah, GA 31419 (Savannah healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Acute Care – Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown)
• Contract Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720 - $1,840
• Self-Scheduling: Available
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Yes
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Stepdown nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Completion of at least 1 travel nursing contract
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Telemetry nursing experience required

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with Med-Surg, Sickle Cell, heart failure, and other stepdown diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients on set-rate drips
• Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Utilize respiratory therapy equipment including nasal and face masks, BiPAP
• Document patient care using MEDITECH 6.1 electronic charting system
• Participate in comprehensive orientation with computer skills training and preceptor-led shifts
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and dress code standards
