This 26-bed unit is staffed with a dedicated Charge Nurse, RNs, Patient Care Techs, and support from a Unit Clerk on days, with sitters rarely needed. Nurses care for patients at an estimated 1:5 ratio and should be comfortable assisting with mobility using lifts, wheelchairs, gait belts, and walkers/canes. The unit supports a broad post-op population, including TURPs, gastric bypass, joint replacements, post-hysterectomy care, and gallbladder/appendectomy recoveries; ACLS and NIH are preferred.
