VHS is looking for an Emergency Medicine Physician in Odessa, TX! Permanent Position Program Details: Level 2 trauma center, county hospital. Seeking ABEM / board eligible physicians Open to summer 2025 graduates 10 hour shifts Approximately 2.0-2.2 pph average 40 hours of physician coverage 40 hours of Midlevel coverage Cerner first net EMR with dragon, efficient quick orders/ order sets, no click boxes for charting Minimal almost nonexistent issues with boarding Mental health screeners, if local psychiatric facilities are full we admit to the hospital and don t hold in the ED 24/7 ED Pharmacists 24/7 CT (3 scanners), ultrasound techs (plus 3 POC U/S machines), MRI Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, OB/GYN, and General Surgery residency programs through affiliation with Texas Tech. Trauma surgeons in house 24/7. Hospitalist / pediatric hospitalist program, comprehensive call list of consultants. Easy admissions, minimal pushback Transfer out operative pelvic fractures, burns, strokes needing thrombectomy, Peds ICU. Productivity based pay with hourly average consistently $325+.
